I Am From.

For English class we had to take a poem call I Am From and make it our own. You probly won't get some of these things because it was supposed to be about our childhood.

I am from ivory soap in the bathroom,
From tide and axe body spray.
I'm from the pool at maw maw's house,
swimming on hot summer days.
I am from the pond behind my house.
From the pecan trees that are down the road."
Whose long gone limbs I remember,
as if they were my own.
I am from family reunions in Kentwood
and NASCAR races.
From Dan, Dan, the cheerleading man and
Paw paw "ballerina" Ronnie.
I am from hide and seek in the dark, the dancing van, and from snowball stands.
I'm from "see ya lata alligator" and "you're my lile pudding" and skater boy.
I'm from riding fourwheelers at Christmas parties.
I'm a Violation and ancestors from Spain.
From crawfish boils and sushi at Stixx
I'm from mud fights on Easter,
My cousins and I getting washed off with a hose.
Time captured with pictures and washed away by Katrina.
Kept safely in the protection of my heart.
I am from these memories,
A song sung over and over again,
Never to fade away.

*i am from St. Bernard(close to New Orleans) and people that live in Chalmette are called Chalmations. I am from Violet, soo we are called Violations. hahahahha. :)
