The Way You See Me

You have me twisted in two
Trying to see me,
To see me like you do.
Maybe in your eyes
I'm torn in two.
Each of me with a different view.
The first one cute and bubbly,
And wants you to like her too.
The next one isn't so sweet.
You avoid her,
So she thinks
Something wrong with me,
There must be.
She looks in the mirror
At an unknown face.
She pinches her cheek
And starts to say
Beautiful is not what they must think,
When they gaze upon my pale face,
So common and plain.
If I were to leave this place
Would you ever miss me,
Or just be happy since now you're free?
