The Girl

Here is a story about a girl, who thought she was on top of the world.
But all her thoughts had changed one day,
And so she thought to run away.
And did she run? Oh yes indeed.
Far, far away from me.
And as she ran I caught a glimpse,
Of her crying and shaking her fist.
It was so unexpected, so out of the blue,
That a girl like her, could lose her mind, too.
She was always so calm, but stood her ground too,
She was always caring and there to help you.
But the day that she snapped I saw a new girl,
A girl who cried under pressure and dropped out of school,
A girl who no longer laughed, for nothing was funny,
A girl who no longer loved her pet bunny,
A girl who was put under too much stress,
A girl who got so angry she threw away her prom dress,
A girl who didn't care to have any friends,
A girl who wouldn't be there to the end.
And so you may think I know this girl well,
And that is the truth, easy to tell,
And why you may ask, how I can see?
Well that girl I'm so close to,
That girl is me.
