Iron Thread

Why don’t you look me in the eye
And try not to lie
I want to know the truth
Stop being so aloof
And tell me how you’re feeling
Let it out
If you need to shout
I try to stay calm
When I hear your words come out
But don’t be so surprised
If I start to yell as well
I have feelings too
It’s not all about you
Don’t try and hide
Behind your fakest feelings
I can see straight through them
And I don’t like what I see
You remind me of a bee
Stinging people with force
Before the fire within dies
And you’re just left with silence
Was it really worth the loss?
To bring matters in your own hands
Matters that don’t concern you
You just have nothing better to do
But then you got bored
You didn’t even finish
The things that needed to be said
You just left them hanging in your head
Suspended by a thread
A thread made of iron
That will probably never break
And it just makes me shake
With silenced anger
That I need to let out
So I’ll just write this poem
