Night Dance

Through my window,
I sit looking.
Not really looking at the world
But staring through a portal to a place I want to call home.

I wish to call the whispering trees and dark,
Soothing night my friends.
I wish to dance in the pouring rain
As the moon shines over my head,
Lighting my danced path,
Leaves small traces of my bare foot prints

The wind would be the song to my dance,
Giving me the beat to move my feet.
The trees would be dancing along side of me,
Being my partner as I would move
Along the forest I would cover with a night dance,
Until the rain stops and we have to go home

Through my window,
I sit looking.
Not really looking at the world
But staring through a portal
To a place I wish to call home
