The Boyfriend in the Cafeteria

Flashing a smile in the dim fluorescent light.
He charms over food, throwing french fries when no one is looking his way.
Walking around once the tray is empty, to court and to woo.
Leaving her behind, alone and confused.
His smiles are as fake as his chains, and he secretly wishes to change for her sake.
But the mask has hardened, and will not crack.
So for now, that smile will dazzle them all under the dim fluorescent lighting.
Hiding the secrets he holds inside.
