Irony

Every person wears a mask,
And have a heart of irony.
They say one thing and live another,
Others would call it hypocrycy.

But there are some who ditch their mask,
Embrace their heart of lies.
They have the strength to break the masks,
And say some fond good-byes.

To the people they knew,
To people they thought they knew.
To the lives they lived
And the lies the welcomed.

They break the masks of others,
Crack through the irony shell.
They make people be who they really are,
Even if they live in hell.

The irony of irony is that you know just what to expect.
You know the lives you break
You know the irony you, yourself, leave behind.
