The Girl Named Alice

I breathe in
The air sings
Through my nose
As if it has wings.

Too bad it doesn't last
My head is pushed down,
Under the surface,
I'm going to drown.

The hand is forceful,
It keeps my head below
I see spots,
and feel my vision go.

Then around my shoulders,
New hands appear,
The man that I love,
The one I hold dear.

He takes me back,
Above the surface,
His hands now,
Have new purpose.

I look into his eyes,
Then see the malice,
as he takes the gun,
And kills the girl named Alice.
