When Dealing With Deception

Name it quick, name it now,
Before it's written,
Name it using just prediction.
If it's wrong or doesn't fit,
Pretend not to notice, it's only a game.
After all, what's in a name?
Deceiving impressions
Cheap claims to fame
You smile and nod to pretend that it's real
When really, you're making it harder to heal.
But truth never made your list of concerns.
I realize this as I try to discern
Why you saw this and let it continue to burn.
It burned without check,
Now becoming a wreck,
Now beauty's becoming a fantasy.
You're not what I'd thought;
I must be naive
To have just sat here,
To have believed
In your dignity, principles, and reliability.
It's now time for the end,
I really can't wait
For the termination of this hesitant hate.
