Beining of the end

These chains that bind me to this place
Made only tighter by your face.
Like a bird that can not fly,
Without the wind I'll surely die.
Like a tiger with broken claws,
I can't go far on bloody paws.
My heart has gone with endless grace,
Long since vanished, without a trace.

I can not see around the bend,
But closer now comes the end.

These iron bars an endless cage,
Made only smaller by my rage.
Silently crying to the night,
How much I want to end this fight.
Like a dragon without fire,
Right now my futures dire.
My mind is made, set is the stage,
In this book just one last page.

I do not know which road is best,
But my flightless soul, begs for rest.

Broken butterflies with torn wings,
From their heads fall golden rings.
I'll take the pain that will come,
My life is frowned upon by some.
You have my heart, I have my soul,
I can not fly till I am whole.
And still my tattered heart sings,
Of bright blues skies, and many things.

I am a dancer in the sky,
Looking up as clouds fly.
Black tears leek from these eyes,
Already swarming are the flies.
Silver metal aid my flight,
Strike me true and end my plight.
I am afraid of the coming cold,
Repaying now the debt of old.
Leaking from my chest this blood,
Turning the dust to deep red mud.
Every one must one day die,
Even so I do cry.

I am a dancer in the day,
Now in the darkness I shall stay...
