Dead.

Dead.

The wind flicked my hair across my face into my eyes, and I knew,
I knew it was the end.
The end of my life,
I was about to die,
What a strange feeling,
I had expected to be afraid,
Gripped by some unimaginable fear; terror
But instead…nothing,
Complete and utter nothingness was all I felt.
I was numb,
It was quite a freeing feeling,
I sighed, closing my eyes,
Letting the cool wind surround me as I let my body relax,
The end.
Finally.
It was thrilling,
Exhilarating.

Chilling metal met my temple,
Sending a silent shiver down my neck,
I sighed, once more, in relief and my finger tensed.
The ear splitting bang never reached my ear drums.
The end,
I was dead.
