Infinity Land

It's dark and quiet, cold so silent
And he's sitting all alone
Nothing but thoughts and empty bottles
Somebody should have known.

But now it's too late for this
Too late to go back and care
It's been so long and now he's gone
Nothing left but this blank stare …

The stare that always says so much
The stare that tell no lies
The stare that tells us what he fears
What he loves and why he cries.

The stare that tells the story
If a million mistakes made
The stare that tells the story
Of a man who couldn't be saved.

The stare that shows the depth
Of the reality that's lost
And a stare that blankly shows us
The truth of a high cost.

A cost that's paid for what? They ask
They ask it all the while
It's such a simple question, they say
But he looks up with no smile.

"You think I know the answer
To the things that I have done?
You think I know what's going on?
You think that I had fun?

"I can assure you I fell no joy
From a heart as heavy as lead
The only thing that I do know is
For what I have done, I should be dead."
