Stop the Tears

My eyes don’t leak, did you know that?
Ever since the final day
When I made a choice that would forever hold
One crisp, January day
After I realized, there was nothing left to do
Or to say
So I let go, and followed the crowd.
Taking out the scissors, I early used to cut a smile.
I sat and cried, while thinking about the crime,
But as soon as I started, the tears stopped dead.
The rush of exhilaration, flood’s my veins, and engulfs my heart.
No more of this no more of that,
Now I have something to turn towards.
Rather than a no caring person, that I always seem to find
It’s been a month and a half,
And still no leak.
I hid the scars, with various layers of cloth.
So the crime has stopped the tears, and that’s all I have to say.
