Paul Epitaph

My life has been full and happy. I travel, and work, walk my dog,
Had a wife and two kids.
Nothing was a fog.

I grew up in California
With my parents and brothers.
Went to high school and college,
And met a girl unlike the others.

At mid-age, I had heart surgery.
I then went about my day to the rhythm of a tick.
I was teased and called the crocodile;
How I wish I was Peter so life would forever stick.

Every morning at four,
I thought it was good for my health.
The irony that was my death
The water flowed around me in all its stealth.
