Falling Diamonds

Falling diamonds caress my skin,
Glittering brilliantly in the darkness.
Covering me with an elated joy,
Smothering me with diamond droplets,
They all fall.

Nobody ever sees them so.
They see them as evil,
As something to hate.
I laugh at those people.
The world's views are so distorted.

No, they're not evil.
They're a gift to nature.
Cascading down to the trees,
Helping them to grow.
Helping them to live.

Those falling diamonds are
slowly...

fading...

away...

As man comes in.
As man destroys.
As man does what man does best.

Those falling diamonds...
I miss them.
I want them back.
