Give In To Love

Some days we just want to disapear
And some times, I don't want you here.
But keep trying, don't falter,
On that day I'll meet you at the alter.

A smile that will never face,
Mysterious eyes hidden under those deadly shades.
Hand in hand we finish the day,
WIth words she's forced to say.

During the final toast she starts to think,
No one would notice her slip it in his drink.
His speech starts to slur,
Everything and everyone becomes a blur.

His zigzags to the car,
He's had too much at the bar.
She puts him in bed and leaves him there,
She changes her dress and takes the stairs.

He won't awake before tomorrow,
She feels no remourse, no sorrow.
She slips on stilletoues and hikes up her dress.
There is no need to appear a mess.

There are whistles on the street,
Looks from every guy she meets.
She doesn't want this life.
In her heart she feels the stab of a knife.

She stops dead and drops her purse.
She feels the lift of the curse.
She drops to her knees without a miss,
She may have realized she's better than this.

You don't have to turn tricks
To get your kicks.
Her conscience pulls together,
Her soul becomes light as a feather.

Her second vow today---
She is going to stay.
Build her morals high,
To this trashy lifestyle she says good-bye.

She takes off her shoes and pulls down her dress.
She won't be their damsal in distress.
She'll go home and climb in bed,
Get under the covers and kiss his head.

Forget this life she leaves behind,
Nothing, she hopes, will change her mind.
Now that it's made up,
She will give in to love.
