My Heart

Why oh why can’t you see,
What you are doing to me?
I cry every night,
I do not want this fight.

Can’t you see I’m screaming?
Or am I really just dreaming?
Oh I wish you were here,
To see me shed every tear.

The flame in my heart,
Will eventually ember,
After years and years,
It will be tough to remember.

And thus we write poems,
To carry through the years,
To help us remember,
All those cold blooded tears.

I regret how I have hurt you,
It pains me every day.
However I may wish,
The sorrow will never go away.

I will go on living,
Though the memories will fade,
And someday you’ll see,
I was living a façade.
