The Joyful Sins

Thin branches snap,
bushes shake and rustle,
two bodies roll,
The tree's oversee,
the flowers hear,
the birds sing with their melody.

A witness would see,
a tussle,
a fight,
but you and I,
we see,
Exactly what it may be,
a lovers right,
a single night.

The rose bleeds,
the grass cries,
the moon shines.

Lost in,
the love,
the lust,
the greed,
the sins,
Eyes drift shut,
arms are wound,
breath mingles.

Something watches,
disgrace,
is all it sees.
But it cannot feel,
as you and I.

It is not graced with,
the wild love,
the pleasant pain,
the joyful tears,
we shared.

The something has taken you from me,
I cry,
as do we all,
The singing birds,
the bleeding rose,
the shining moon,
the deaf but hearing flowers,
the blind trees that see all,
the somber grass,

My friends,
the planet,
we want you back.
