Tears of Silver

It seems that the only thing
I ever do is cry.
But it’s also the only way
I feel ‘b.e.a.u.t.i.f.i.e.d’.

The tears,
C o l d and salty,
Run down my [pale] cheeks.
I guess all my beliefs about myself are faulty.

I try to look b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l.
Newsflash: It never works.
I don’t know why I expect it to.
(Life hates giving me perks.)

So the tears keep coming,
Because that’s my climax of b.e.a.u.t.y.

My UGLY gray-blue eyes
Turn the color of the ocean.
They go bright and wide
And they are like the waves in motion.

While my eyes go blue,
My tears staysilver.
Like pretty little diamonds rolling down my cheeks.
They say diamonds are a girls’ best friend.

Diamonds last forever.
My tears aresilver.
