Life Drain
Life is a big drain.
A drain of all our hope.
Theres failure, death, loss, and shame
Its all one big soap.
We find our happy spark.
Even if its in the secluded dark.
its gone.
Why so soon?
Just like that, before waking dawn.
Still beneath the glistening moon.
You keep trying.
Running to catch it.
Slowly dieing,
you sigh and sit.
Gives in.
The hope you once owned is eternally lost.
Your heart feels of dense tin.
What was the cost?
My drain reaches deep and wide.
Full of feelings that cheated and lied.
I'm gripping the cold stone ledge.
Fingers slipping.
Yes I am going to wretch
as the dreaded drain is repeatedly dripping.
Wheres the hands to help
me out?
"Oh yeah", i shout through the drain.
and continue with, "Dead in a grave."
Both of us weren't saved.
Hope taken away
by every passing day.
My life spiraled down by an
evil drain.
