“My Hope”

Days pass in a requiem of our loneliness.
The here, the now, the real, is there.
The pale eyes don’t pretend.
From this point I see in you,
The joy we both will find.
My eyes stay open, this and every night,
Behind the thoughts of you.
Clinging to this one hope.
Heart beats faster,
Lump rises in my throat.
Throw myself out there.
To far for eyes to see.
With the question,
It asks a lot, but is it to much?
Ill never take away.
Only care for.
A love not for just a day.
This is all I have,
Please don’t say you can’t.
Life is once, getting shorter by the seconds
The beauty that is you.
Emotional duality.
A risk you take, I know will work.
The chance you take with me.
