Welcome to the real world

When your born you're just waiting
For the day that you die.
Fill your life with all the moments,
That make you laugh, cry.
Count down the days, hours, minutes,
Wait its a moment away.
It could be a lifetime before it happens
Or just as likely, today.
You spend you life lying and looking,
For a placebo to seek.
We need to believe in a Greater Being
Because we are weak.
So we convince ourselves to be good,
And it will be all right.
But there's such things going on,
Out of your sight.
Children diagnosed taken into care,
People die alone in their bed.
Fights break out because of sporting,
Teen dies from a blow to the head.
I grew up in a town which had a bad reputation,
I grew up in dangerous place.
This world ain't great it's all just a sham
And the world is losing its faith.
