A Nothing

Every time I see you,
my heart beat race;
breathing is accelerating,
and I can't shake this feeling.

Disappearing into darkness,
out bodies take shape;
this isn't the right way to go about this,
it's not how life should be lived.

Come on,
let's get out of here;
no one will find us,
our secret shall be safe.

Unless,
of course;
you should tell all,
and we're both to be ruined.

We'll both lose love,
from every living soul;
sympathy put on others,
us left in the dark.

You should know,
what consequences would be;
if anyone were to find out,
about me and you.

It's not even real,
fragments of imagination;
always having a tendency,
to run completely wild.

If the secret gets out,
our minds erased;
faint memories of this,
before we become that.

What's "that,"
you say;
hah, one would think you'd know,
that troubles such as this..

Turn you into a nothing.

And a nothing that's never loved,
a nothing never cared for;
now it's your turn to decide,
reveal, or destroy everything we've lived for?
