Untitled

The thunder calls me like a lullaby
I turn my back to the heartless world
To join this realm of darkness and danger
Following my siren song, as it leads me

To the place beyond sleep, beyond dreams, beyond pain
Instead, I walk down the path where I find
The trance of the dance that lulls me
Even as the bass is sharp in my ears,
Strobe lights streaking across my vision

I must have reached some kind of heaven
With this amount of calm and peace
Strange that I do not see him here
As always, I am alone

Hopefully, I can stay in this place forever
But it seems to be ever out of my reach
Forever falling downward as I am pulled out of my haven
The dance is reaching its end

I find myself wondering vaguely
How I have found myself, standing outside
In the middle of the night
During the torrential downpour

My face turned to the heavens
Hoping to be struck by lightening
