Sleeping Away

I sit up late at night,
Unable to fall to sleep.
I turn out the light,
And begin to weep.

The thoughts running through my head,
Are way too much to bare.
Try to forget everything that's been said,
Pretend there's someone to care.

Light flickers on,
There's no one,
It's just past dawn,
Now night is done.

Another night has past,
Bags under my eyes,
How much longer will I last?
Going with these lies.

My life is playing slow,
Lack of sleep is wearing me down,
What a little tiny woe,
Is making me frown.

I want to fall asleep,
TO have sweet dreams,
To fall in deep,
It looks like I've fallen from the seams.

I can feel myself drifting,
Off into another land,
My eyes are slowly shifting,
And I grab your hand.
