So can we silence our thoughts and meet again when our screams collide
In masses of false hopes and pre-remembered dreams
Could we take this out of our past and piece together picture perfect memories?
Would it be so hard to let this go and be all that you see in her eyes?

Later nights and faster cars
We all wait for our chance
with Wet lips and beating hearts
We all pace the studded floor
with High heels and empty souls.

Hidden in the shadows of forgotten pictures and ‘gone missing’ hopes
Panting with regret of everything that’s been done
Waiting for another opening to whisper lies
Wishing we could play this slow and watch it disappear into the sky.

Later nights and faster cars
We all wait for our chance
with Wet lips and beating hearts
We all pace the studded floor
with High heels and empty souls.

And when the lights go off, will you dream of me tonight?
Or will you wait another hour, another minute of your time
And will you kiss my lips at the dawn of every new awakening?
Or should I close my eyes and just pretend you’re here.
