My Saltwater Room

Wearing security like a blanket, sent through a touch
Finally something that is real and solid
To others it may not mean much

But to me it means more than the world
My Saltwater Room, shielding me from gloom and doom
Time is never going to be quite enough

The scent fills the air, and I am at home
Where ever I want to go, I am free to roam
There's a wall in my mind tat I hide behind
Only coming out to taste the Salt

Vibrating through veins, sounds are felt more than heard
The world feeling right through just one simple word
Bouncing off the walls and down the halls
Bending through houses, churches, theme parks, and malls

Words tangle into a silver spider web
Transparent yet visible as the feeling ebbs

It's time to leave and come back to Earth
I'm wondering what my tears are worth
As I am again wrapped in gloom and doom--
As I wave good bye to My Saltwater Room.
