No Harmony

Flow from my fingers a glorious melody
From my imagination's alternate reality
In which I sever the strings that bind me to you,
Liberating myself from what you tell me to do.
I'll run as far as I possibly can
Until my exhaustion's too great to even stand.
Then I'll fall to the ground a free marionette,
And bask in the orange of the evening's sunset.
But as the night comes, my dream shall take a twist
Becomeing a nightmare such as this.
I'll be caught, my strings attatched once more
As life returns to as it was before.
In darkness I play a pitiful melody
Based upon our attrocious reality.
