Women of War

Mothers, take care of your daughters
For the army has taken your sons
Your husband, your father, your brothers
and soon you wont have anyone
When Irish eyes are staring
And you know that all life has now fled
From the young soldier
But does either side care that he is dead?
Children play in the war torn streets
Not knowing their brother is dead
When shooting starts all around them
Three innocent children are dead.
Mothers where are your daughters?
Oh mothers, where are your sons?
You husband, your father, your brother?
Alas now you are the only one.
War-What becomes of the soldier sons
Their husbands, their fathers, their brothers
Yet...Did these women kill anyone?
