light of day

Robbers stealing purses,
Murderers stealing lives,
Kidnappers stealing young girls and boys,
Without a parents’ goodbye.

The forests are diminishing,
And lakes are running low,
A hole grows wider in the sky,
And the so-called-saint watches it below.

There are young people in Africa.
That are crying for some food.
As tears roll down their wilting faces,
Tears run from my eyes too.

Bad people and sad people,
Before our very eyes.
People crying, people dying
And cheating and telling lies.

The anger inside my stomach,
Rises to my chest.
Because others know muddy drinking water
As the very best.

The world is falling apart,
Around us more everyday.
Soon there will be nothing,
Except the light of day.
