This Book

though my handwriting
is curly and inviting
and the stationary on which i imprint
is bright and colourful
my words are not
they are cold and harsh -
morbid, if you will,
and meant only for the strong
most books say:
heed this warning
for this book is not friendly
i will merely say:
that those who read this
will have a changed mind
of the world in which we live -
and all the while
others will think
that i've truly
gone 'round the bend
