Nick Jonas Diabetes Speech

You know sometimes, life brings on its complications. Throws you an unexpected curve ball, and that happened to me, about two and half years ago when I was diagnosed with diabetes. On the way to the hospital that night, I made a commitment with myself, that I wouldn't let it slow me down. And I'm here today, to tell you, that it hasn't. About six months ago, we were up in Canada, shooting a movie, and I was having one of those days, where nothing was going my way, so I sat down and wrote this song. Cause you know sometimes, we just need a little bit of hope. Sometimes, all we need is a friend. Life gets so crazy, sometimes it’s all we need. But, tonight, this song, this song is for you. This song, is for every broken heart, for every lost dream, for every high, and for every low. How many of you people in this room tonight just need a little bit of hope? How many of you in the room tonight need a friend? But what I want you to do now, is I want you to sing this with me, as loud as you can.
