Midnight

Staring out at the emptiness surrounding me
It seems like im away from all normalness
Sometimes it feels like im trapped no way out
Memories that you wish to forget
As if thousands of people sit staring
The moon light shining down on houses
A twinkle from the light catching metal
Wild dogs howling in the wind
So far, but yet so close

Darkness in your room, nothing to be seen
Close your eyes and wish for a better day
Or is it close your eyes and fall into nothing
Land into a world were you can’t belong
With people who hate what you are
For something good why is there evil.

Sitting under your covers, a shield from hate
Heads phones plugged in, volume full blast
It’s like a barrier between you and the world
The time irrelevant to you now in the night
It’s like time has stopped for you
A loud abnormal noise blearing out side
Slow stumbling to the window, curtains drawn
You see red piercing eyes glazing up
Looking straight past you as if your not there
Spooked as you are you get back to thinking
Thinking ok nothing just a blank mind

To you night is when understand things
When weird turns to normal like a recreation
Time has started again, sleeper now
Drifting off in the darkness you remember
Those eyes staring right at you
The out line of moving trees
The moonlight, all a blur now
Back into the world were you belong
Deed on midnight not a sound to hear
Sleeping you happy.
