I Lie, You Lie, We Lie

If you think of me,
Picture our good times.
If you dream of me,
Think of my eyes.

I won’t break.

When you turn around,
Promise I won’t fall down.
When you leave,
Don’t notice the tears on the ground.

I won’t live.

You’re far gone,
And you won’t be coming back.
But how can I breathe?
If my heart is hanging by a tack.

I won’t see.

If you smile,
Picture my broken soul.
If you laugh,
Think of the heart you stole.

I won’t hear.

When you don’t remember me,
I’ll thank my lucky fate.
When you can forgive and forget,
My heart can then inflate.

I won’t know.

You were never the problem.
I was the downfall of me.
But how should I know for sure?
If it’s you I still see.
