Dreaming of Him...

The place was bare yet overcrowded
I stumbled for a gasping breath,
As people and joyous voices pieced my senses,
He was there awaiting his speeding chariot of damnation.
Feeling fled as I saw His perfect face;
But replaced with anger when He didn't see me.
I wished He would turn around and smile,
And gracefully walk his stride to me.
I wished He would place His hands around my face,
And make my tears seam out of place.
I wished he would never leave me,
Alone and despaired,
As he had done that faithless and fateful day,
But as the gray day became lighter,
As though the coffin lid was easing,
I realized I was still alive,
And Edward was next to me,
While I was fast asleep...
