ANZAC

On the silent waves of Gallipoli,
The men wade ashore,
Suddenly the Turks jump up and start shooting those below.
How quiet it was when the ANZACs walked along the beach,
Shooting and shouting fills the air,
The dying, the dead and the injured lie,
Amidst the smoke...Simpson's his name walks along to 'Shrapnel Gully'
where the injured lie.
The soldiers fight and fight,
Until the dark hours of night.
The ANZACs who died are still here
in our lives, they are spirits,
And the live are as live as can be.

-----In commemoration to all the ANZACs who died and fought at Gallipoli, a terrible tragedy in which many died.
