The Price of Sanity

Remove me from this daze of ecstasy
Bring me 'round to the depths of reality
Although I know I'll soon again hate humanity
I loathe more my delusioned dreams of security

Breathe in me the person I have yet to be
Show me again all the sights I never want to see
Force me to know all that's wrong with this fantasy
Bring forth my favorite flaw, my curiousity

Tear away this veil and thrust me into calamity
I've tired of this facade of no misery
A darkness found it's way into the light I used to see
And darkness always holds such brutal honesty

Make me pay the price for my sanity
Rescue me from the claws of my dream's intimacy
Let me again breathe the sweet scent of hell's enormity
'Tis the only way for my soul to retrieve me.
