Thoughts (Give Them Your Hand)

You watch her walk by
And wonder,
How much will she change
When she finally get's him into bed
Then she'll feel strange,
She'll grab the test and begin to dread
She know's it wont have the answer she wants
Positive
Now what?
He's gone
He's off with your best friend
Your all alone
With your new biggest responsibility

You see him laughing with his friends,
You know his secret,
So you can't help but wonder
If they'd still be his friends,
When they knew,
That he had a crush,
On his best friend,
His best friend, the guy he's known forever
Would they hate him?
Chase him with rocks?
Beat him?
Leave him in hospital,
With his mother,
And me,
Crying over his bed?
Waiting, for the Doctor to say
"I'm sorry, Your too late, He'll never be the same again"

You smile, as she waves to you
Walking with linked arms, with her best friend
You wonder,
If she'd get spat on and called a fag?
Would she be lying in hospital next to him?
Her parents deserting her?
Her father, wondering where he went wrong?
Just because, she doesn't care?
Just because she appreciates Guys and Girls?
Would her mother believe she now carries STD's?
Would she go through the same you did?

So many thoughts and questions,
It doesnt matter though,
Because you know,
All you can do,
Is stand by,
And give them you hand when they need it.
