Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake It's Morning Not too many kids these days would know who Bright Eyes is, but for those of us that do, this band is probably the most influential band of all time. They're a band that makes timeless music. Music that will stick with you for the rest of your life.

The album "I'm Wide Awake It's Morning" creates the most beautiful pictures within your mind when you actually listen to it. It's perfect in so many ways. Blending country with Indie and folk rock setting off a million emotions at once just making you feel a part of something.

This album begins with a spoken introduction by Conor Oberst. It's the story of a man and a woman on a plane. It's hard to explain just exactly what it means, you'd have to listen to understand how brilliant it is.

The first song is At The Bottom Of Everything. The line "We must memorize nine numbers and deny we have a soul" is sort of a sarcastic remark towards society.

The track that sticks out the most would be Landlocked Blues. It's simply beautiful. Lyrically it could ring tears to your eyes. The music speaks for itself.

Tracklist:

  1. At The Bottom Of Everything
  2. We are Nowhere and It's Now
  3. Old Soul Song (For The New World Order)
  4. Lua
  5. Train Underwater
  6. First Day Of My Life
  7. Another Travelling Song
  8. Landlocked Blues
  9. Poison Oak
  10. Road to Joy

Regrettably, as said above, not many kids today really listen to this band, it's probably not their "scene". Makes no difference, this band is still magnificent. Creating albums that are masterpieces and music that can change your life.
