Flyleaf (CD+DVD)
Lacey Mosley, Sameer Bhattacharya, Jared Hartmann, Pat Seals, James Culpepper are better known for their teamwork in the popular band from Belton and Temple Texas, Flyleaf. With their first and self titled album - Flyleaf - the band explodes onto the scene with a powerful start.
With the main hits I'm So Sick, Fully Alive, and the newest single All Around Me the album is surrounded by great chords and vocals. Other songs include Perfect, Cassie, Sorrow, I'm Sorry, Red Sam, There For You, Breathe Today, So I thought, and acoustic versions of So Sick, Fully Alive, All Around Me, Red Same, and Cassie.
The album is a mixture of Metal, Alternative, and - beatably - Christian Rock. The lyrics are phenomenally dark, and the guitars - including bass - are sick. Lacey's voice is extremely unique and very strong against the guitars, letting everyone hear her story.
The band has a look thats all their own, and a sound that's as unique as their singer. It's fun flirty, dark, and rocker all at the same time.
This version of the album comes with a DVD that has the music videos for all of their current singles, and a live performance of the acoustic tracks. There's also a free locker poster for the buyer in case you're interested!
In my opinion this album gets a definite 5/5. It's always in my CD player and probably always will be. If you like heavy music, you're bound to like this. It is way up your alley you won't even know what to do about it.
