Time to Play With TOYZ

Germany's up and rising pop-glam band, Cinema Bizarre, has released their newest album just two days ago. Entitled 'TOYZ', this album does not disapoint. With a variety of songs, from the slow 'Sad Day (For Happiness)' to the upbeat 'Modern Lover', the 22 track, two disc album has a song for every occasion.

Started in 2007, singer Strify, guitarist Yu, bassist Kiro, drummer Shin and ex-keyboardist Luminor formed this band after Strify Yu and Kiro met at an anime convention. Their first album, 'Final Attraction' was released later that same year and slowly but surely gained a fanbase worldwide.

Cinema Bizarre's single for this second album, 'I Came 2 Party' (collaborated with Lady Gaga's DJ-Space Cowboy) came out a few weeks ago. With catchy lyrics and a beat you can dance too, it only made me more excited for the release of 'TOYZ'. After hearing it on CherryTree Records, I searched for the video and found it to create a stunning visual effect for this song. Set in a mansion where a party is taking place, the guests are all wearing masks. Cinema Bizarre is the honored guests. Wearing plain white masks, they are easy to spot in the crowed of dancing people, alongside Space Cowboy. The color, lights and sound of the music video make you want to watch it over and over, because every time you do, there is something new to see. This was the "preview" of 'TOYZ', and it certainly made the wait even harder.

Now, listening to 'Heaven Is Wrapped In Chains', the 11th track, I feel that 'I Came 2 Party' barely scratched the surface of the album that is going to take Cinema Bizarre far. Sadly, it is only available in Europe for now, so I must wait to order the CD myself, and instead listen to it over the internet until September 1st, when it will be available for import via Amazon.com. I encourage everyone to listen to the second album Cinema Bizarre has released and give this stunning band a chance. It's time to play with TOYZ.
