Twang

Twang As one of the most known country singers, George Strait has left many disappointed with his new album 'Twang'. It dropped on August 11th and was one of the fastest selling albums of George's career. People, this album is pure classic country genius.

George has a large, cult-like following. Loyalty is something you need to survive in this industry, and George's fans certainly have it. Their undying love has made George a success in the country music business, and has driven him to record his 41st album.

For the first time since his second album, George has chosen his hand at songwriting again. He co-wrote three songs on this album, including "Living For The Night", "Out Of Sight Out Of Mind" and "He's Got That Something Special".

For the first time in this man's legendary career, George has written and recorded an entire song in Spanish. This song has been described as "exalting masculinity", and it is played primarily on the mandolin (for a more authentic Spanish sound). George speaks the language fluently and flawlessly.

The first single off the record is 'Living For The Night', currently it's at number fifteen on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and number thirteen on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart. It was co-written with his son Bubba and Dean Dillon.

George was recognized by the Academy of Country Music as 'Artist of the Decade' earlier this year, and was honored in a CBS special. That is just further proof to this man's genius.

Here's to you George, and your three decades in the country music industry.
