Brand New Eyes - Paramore

Paramore was a band that started in 2005 with the release of their debut album All We Know Is Falling. The band followed up that album with the 2007 release of Riot!. Their third and newest album is entitled Brand New Eyes. And Brand New Eyes is definitely showing off the Paramore we all know and love.

The album starts off with a track called Careful. The track carries the sound Paramore is known for. The sound is similar to their past two albums but the lyrics sound a lot more personal for this album. Following the first track is the second track as well we the first single from the new album, Ignorance. Ignorance is a similar song to the first track. It carries the same Paramore sound they’ve always had but the lyrics seem very personal. The lyrics seem like some that many people can relate to.

While most of the tracks on the album carry the same Paramore sound, track ten entitled Misguided Ghosts has a much softer sound. Hayley’s vocals are only accompanied by a guitar companion. The song is the slowest on the album and seems like one of the best songs off of the album.

Hayley’s voice sounds a lot different than the last two albums but her voice is still as strong and beautiful as ever. The talented Paramore we all knew has come back with an album that may be one of their bests. Brand New Eyes is a mix of All We Know Is Falling and Riot!. It combines both sounds as well as with a new sound Paramore is taking up. While it combines both sounds, the sound also seems a little more mature and shows how the band as grown. Overall, I’d give the album a total of a five out of five. It was an amazing album and well worth a listen. Fans of Paramore and even those listening to them for the first time won’t be disappointed by the band.
