Avenged Sevenfold - Self-Titled CD

Avenged Sevenfold - Self-Titled CD I'm not sure if I could compare this CD to the others. I could, to City of Evil, but it will never come close to Waking the Fallen or Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, which in my case Waking the Fallen is my favorite out of the four.

I think that Avenged Sevenfold sought out something different for this CD, wanting a change of sound and approach.

I stand by Avenged Sevenfold through anything they come out with or come up with. I understand that their sound and music has changed through out the years and I have nothing against it. If you think about it, if a band doesn't change and keeps playing the same sound, you'll get bored of it. And when they do change, you claim they're sellouts. I'm not saying that they should change their whole complete genre completely, I'm saying it's good for a change once in a while.

I simply love this CD and cant get enough of it.

From Critical Acclaim and its political views on the world, to A Little Piece of Heaven, which happens to be one of the most catchiest songs on the album. Scream, the third track off the album and Brompton Cocktail happen to be the darkest. Almost Easy has to be the hardest rocking song to go along with Unbound the Wild Ride, which makes you feel what it's like being on acid at Disneyland is like. Lost, another favorite of mine, has some high tech definition on the song, in case you wonder, if it's actually Cher or Avenged Sevenfold.

Some of the more softer songs on the album happen to be Dear God and Gunslinger. Dear God, in my opinion is the next Seize the Day. Its soft melodic country tunes sums the song up as another plead for God to watch over the ones you love. Gunslinger, makes you think of the ones you left behind and in the words of Zacky Vengeance:

"If you sit someone down to listen to this song, just watch the hairs on their arms stand up as soon as M (Matt Shadows) breaks through with the opening chorus."

This CD is one of my favorites from the band, topping over City of Evil. I was surprised when I saw that the band had so many dedicated fans, that they reached #4 on the Billboard charts.
