"Summer of Love" by Glory Days
Glory Days is a relatively new band from Maine that I discovered through Twitter. I rarely ever look at those 'check out my band' requests, except that day I was in a sympathetic mood and I listened to some of thier music. I instantly fell in love with them.
The first song on their EP Summer Love is Can't Get Enough, a very summery song, much like the rest on the album, with a fun, catchy chorus that's hard to get out of your head.
I Get High and If You Were Mine are both wonderfully sweet songs with that trademark surf-rock edge.
With You is a lovey dovey song, able to make even the toughest gals out there swoon.
With You has a beach/love themed music video, which really puts Glory Days' musical sound to an image. Can't Get Enough has one of those lyrics videos that seems to be popular nowadays too.
I strongly recommend listening to this band if you enjoy McFly's earlier material, because that's exactly what they reminded me of when I first heard them. And if you hate McFly, give Glory Days a try anyways, you might be surprised.
Sure summer's over, but you can reminisce with this awesome album.
