Nightwish - Dark Passion Play - Comments

Its not my favorite Nightwish album, but I absolutely ADORE Anette. I've seen them live with her, and she has this unbelievable stage presence. It's great.

Decent article btw, but the band was formed in 1996 (you seemed to forget about the three nightwish albums before 2001). I must say, i despise "Master Passion Greed", and It's probably what knocked the album down a knotch on my scale, along with the abnoxious "Meadows of Heaven", but "Amaranth" is so addicting and "Poet and the Pendulum" is just a masterpeice.

I think the new songs are just as good as the old ones. My favorite right now being 'Master Passion Greed' but it shifts constantly. I agree with you that 'Amaranth' is the worst one on the cd. It' just sounds too weird. And I love the new lead singer. I have the End of an Era dvd and saw Anette live. Anette has a much better stage presence.

I think Nightwish is the best band on earth. It really is a pity that many people have not heard of them in the US. While Dark Passion Play rocks, I'm not sure if it lives up to Once. I think I just miss Tarja.

Nightwish is one of the best bands in the world of my head. Possibly the best one.

Just one objection : Nightwish first formed in 1996.
