This is such an independent album. The young-spirited lyrics and the raging guitar pieces scream punk rock. Probably the heaviest music you can find that has understandable lyrics. Supported by anger, depression, repression, and the occasional life story, 'Sing Sing Death House' reaches number twenty-nine on Billboard's Top Independent Albums in the year 2002.

As I've said before, anger and depression are the main topics of this album. It doesn't sound too unique, but the lyrics are more than the usual 'My daddy hates me'. Songs like 'Sick of it All', 'Sing Sing Death House', 'I Understand' and 'Hate Me' are the songs of these topics. If anything, 'Hate Me' is the hardest the understand because of the screaming. Other than that, these songs are the perfect antidote for fixing (or supporting) a bad mood.

Not every song on this album is made with hate. A couple of these songs are about life in general. Packed into three minutes and sixteen seconds, 'Young Crazed Peeling' is a song Brody wrote about her whole life. From where she grew up, and who she fell in love with to her current feelings about life. Then there's 'Young Girl'. This song is about how Brody regrets what's she's done in the past.

Last but not least, repression. Another topic to Brody's liking. 'I am Revenant' and 'Seneca Falls' discuss how hard it is to be put down your whole life. Well written and portrayed, these songs encourage you to stand up for yourself.

If I had to say so myself, this album is about three stars out of five. So before you go off to buy this album 'because nimrodidiot told me to' check out a few of these songs first. If they don't suit your fancy, don't buy the album. Otherwise, this album is a great listen to all punk rock fans.
