Get Awkward

There is only one way to describe Get Awkward - pure awesomeness! Long time fans will not be disappointed and newcomers shall fall in love with it instantly. A more mature, melodic piece than their debut self titled album but with none of the insane energy lost.

Not a single track on the album will let you down, each one could stand alone. But some do indeed stand out, take for example "The Kelly Affair". Full of the youthful energy we've come to expect from Be Your Own Pet, nowhere is the new yet familiar sound more evident. This is a real party tune. "Heart Throb" is another killer tune worth mentioning, frenzied and fast with a damn catchy tune, bop at their best. It is a similar story for such tracks as "Black Hole" and "Blow Your Mind", where the band take what made their last album brilliant and added their new twist.

From the get go this record is just bursting with energy and the pace is not dropped along the way, perfect for those who like the be on the go constantly. Appropriately the last song "The Beast Within" contains the line "I don't want to go to bed" So, if that sounds like you then this is album to purchase because with Get Awkward going to bed will be the last thing on your mind!
