Egypt Central
Signed under Fat Lady Music/ILG; Egypt Central, from Memphis, Tennessee, is made up of five guys, John Falls (vocals), Heath Hindmen (guitar), Jeff James (guitar), Joey Chicago (bass), and Blake Allison (drums).
The band formed in 2001, briefly in the beginning calling themselves ‘Lotus Effect’ then they decided to rename officially to Egypt Central.
Back in January of this year they came out with an album called Egypt Central, with eleven tracks:
- Different
- You Make Me Sick
- Over and Under
- Taking You Down
- Leap of Faith
- The Way
- Push Away
- Walls of Innocence
- Locked and Caged
- Just Another Lie
- Home
Many of the songs bring a sense and feeling of breaking away from the pain of past and present messed up relationships, with so much meaning and hate. ‘You Make Me Sick’ is not only one of their most popular songs, but the one that has the most emotion out of all the other songs on the album.
With a mixture of modern rock, screamo, and alternative rock; they hold a sound of similarity to bands such as Linkin Park (vocal wise), Breaking Benjamin, and Three Days Grace; maybe fans from those bands might take a liking towards this one.
