Fall Out Boy is the ****

Fall Out Boy is the **** The crowd screams, and soon a thundering, rhythmic clapping over takes the crowd as the adrenaline kicks in from, the anticipation of seeing their favorite band live, some for the first time, some for the second, some for the millionth. A recording of Jay-Z's voice comes out of no where followed by the oh so familiar sounds of the beginning of a Fall Out Boy song, switching to another, images flash on the giant LED screen behind the stage, images of Fall Out Boy, Hemingway, pictures off of the album design, from animated music videos, all while the songs trade back and forth from Infinity on High(2007) to From Under the Cork Tree(2004).

"Fall Out Boy is here," calls the voice, and the members come popping out of the stage, greeted by the crowd that is their fan basis.

This is the opening sequence on Fall Out Boy's first live CD/DVD '**** Live in Phoenix' which documents a live Fall Out Boy concert, and all that happens behind the scene. The concert portion itself consists songs off of Infinity on High including: Thriller, Hum Hallelujah, I'm Like A Lawyer, the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me and You), Golden, This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race, Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, and "The Take Over, The Breaks Over." Songs also include tracks off of From Under The Cork Tree including: Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued, Sugar We're Going Down, A Little Less Sixteen Candles A Little More "Touch Me," and a few songs from their second album Take This To Your Grave (2002).

The behind the scene footage is just shots of the band having fun, stealing golf carts, and running into walls (literally). Although it's entertaining, the scenes have a Jackass feel about them. The music videos are all of the videos from Sugar We're Going Down to I'm Like A Lawyer In the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me and You.) The CD contains several tracks from the live concert, including the hit Beat It originally performed by Michale Jackson, featuring John Mayer, which is very nice on the ears.

The entire package is enough live footage/sounds to keep a fan - new or old - entertained for the next few years until their next live album comes out. the recommendation for this is for anyone who totally loves Fall Out Boy, or who enjoys a good live album with a DVD with Jackass behind the scene footage.
